Enamel equipment
Enamel is a vitreous substance obtained by melting inorganic oxide-silicate compounds. Its application to a metal is a chemical reaction, where at a temperature of 900°C a mechanical bonding of glass-metal materials occurs. The technology of "poreless" quality of enamel coating is a complex technological process, owned by EVROHIMMASH K.O. LTD and has its own enamel production formula, thanks to which the coating serves a long time.
Enamel equipment is widely used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food industry, where the processes use aggressive media of organic and inorganic acids, solutions and salts, alkalis and neutral products, or produce especially pure products.
Enamelled equipment is used not only to solve the problem of corrosion of metals, but also to avoid catalytic processes and contamination of the product with metal particles. In the pharmaceutical industry, enamel prevents the growth of microflora on the walls of equipment, and in the polymer industry, the formation of nuclei for polymerization.
Enamelled equipment operates at a pressure of not less than 6 kPa (0,06 kgf/сm2), from residual to 1.6 MPa (16 kgf/сm2) at a temperature of minus 30°C up to plus 300°C. The internal standards regulate the enamel thickness of 1.2 mm ± 0,2 mm, which gives an excellent heat exchange between the contents of the reactor and the jacket, and the newest enamelling technology guarantees increased strength and continuity of the coating.
